The term Marijuana refers to a couple of things. In some areas it is used in reference to the Cannabis sativa plant as a whole, in other cases it refers more to a drug derived from the plant.
The drug is generally derived from the head of the plant and is a mixture of dried leaves and female flowers.
It is commonly smoked, but can be ingested. The ‘high’ produced when smoking or ingesting the drug comes from a high concentration of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC).
